Friday again??

Fun Friday as always. I don't know what I would do if I wasn't leaving work at 4:30, putting together spaghetti (this week with macaroni noodles because I def didn't think about noodles at the market yesterday), showering, getting drop bags ready for tomorrows run, and this week stretching. Yep that's right stretching. My eyes are barely open long enough to share my past day or so with the world.

For anyone that's wondering, no I did not get up for the 5am start. Apparently Dribs did that hussy (meant in the kindest way possible) and didn't even tell a sista. She's a sly fox that one.. maybe I should call her foxy?? So being I woke up at 5:30 I hit the gym and figured I'd run that afternoon. Apparently I didn't learn my lesson from Wednesday.

This workout (plus my own additions) has me hurting until today!! I don't know how I'm going to pull off 28 miles tomorrow when it hurts to bend down!! Oh the things I get myself into.
SO my plans to hit the road after work were squashed. It started pouring for three hours strait and just when it was finishing I had to meet my best friend for a gym/vent session (when the BF calls you make the time, even if you already spent your quality gym time).

Naturally I had to eat dinner before we met so I whipped up a nice little bit of love...
You like my shadow I know you do..

Spinach, avocado, strawberry, almond salad with grilled chicken (well the frozen Tyson chicken breasts, 110 calories and 3 mins to cook, yep works for me). The best part is my own strawberry vinaigrette, I mixed sugar free strawberry jam with EVOO and water and SHHHZAAAM you have a very low calorie but extremely yummy meal!

After dinner was ready on came breakfast.. I didn't want to wake my roommate (another joy of living with someone) so I made my breakfast shake the night before:

Spinach, blueberries, strawberries, banana, pear, OJ, Water and a little secret ingredient. So good!! oh this morning I had to shake it a lot to mix it back up.. everything had separated  but it still tasted good and we didn't have to hear a blender early in the morning!

So after my two meals were ready I headed to the GVS (Gym vent session). haha no Kbone still was able to get her sweat on and catch me up on lifes latest activities.

My motivation technique. Take photos for my blog while you sweat to death! Yes I was stretching and rolling.... I was in pain!!

Kbone def got a workout in that's for sure. We ended up doing 60 push ups (I figure I needed to do something). I was so proud of her, before we started our first set she said she'll stick to the girl push ups. NO WAY! My friends are def stronger than that! We did 5 sets of 10 with a 30 sec rest in between and the last set she really push it on! If you do nothing else do push ups!!!

BTW She totally was hurting from this workout too.. lunges really are a girls bums best friend, BBF if you will and I will.  We should be running the Albany half together (yes the weekend after Cheaha), it will be her first half and a nice run for me. I can't wait to share my best friends first half marathon!! She ran her first 5K in Dec (see Big Dog 5K jingle) and now she's set to run a 15K next weekend and then her first half in March!! OH did I mention she had her second kid in July. Yeah so people wonder why I have no sympathy for excuses.

So tomorrow will be the last long LONG run until Cheaha. I'm assuming maybe a 20, 15, 13 weekend will follow this one.. we are set for 28. Yep 28. We do reserve the option to adjust it once we get out there (to either a 21 or 25) but we shall see. I'm a little nervous because I only wanted to run 26.. but I guess what's 2 more miles (ahhhhhhh). I've ran 31 miles in one go back in December but that wasn't like this. Great thing is this is the peak.. it's all down hill after that!!

Wish me luck good thing my order of Gus just came in  (thanks to my buddy "Legs" he def hooked it up)!
