Weekly runs

Tuesday: 5Miles 8:08 Pace

Our local running store teamed up with the local bike shop and a restaurant and said if you come out and run, anywhere from 30mins-a hour you get $2.50 flat tire beers and 10% off dinner. Ok sorry but discounted beer and food, a group fun sounds like a good time to me. All day I was craving a spinach chicken strawberry salad. I showed up, Dribs went on the ride (they had over 100 riders!) and I walked a quarter of a block to the running store. Guess what? I was the only one that showed up.  Lucky for me one of the chicks that works there (she's super cool and a stellar runner).  A easy 5 was what we both wanted but somehow we both just ran faster than expected, even in the heat.  I was so glad she was there.  We finished up before the bikers so I just headed home.. no beer and no salad. Sad day.  I was very disappointed. Oh well.. maybe next week more runners will show up and we can have a sweaty dinner.

Wednesday: 4 miles 8:14 pace

So each mile on this run was work. It was 81 degrees (yup in March) and my shins are about done. I think they are telling me STOP but really who listens? I mean really is there much you can do for shins? After lemon pepper shrimp pasta by yours truly I will be icing down and elevating. I was glad to be out there today though. The heat totally makes me sweat even more, as if I don't sweat enough, but man I am dripping. But more sweat= a awesome feeling at the end. I ran two miles in my brooks and switched out into my Newtons. They felt good I need to start breaking them in more.. maybe that will help my shin issues.. or maybe I should take up knitting... naaaaa.

Panera bread in the morning.. must make the 10 miles happen... yeah only did 8 last week... slack a$$.
